The Lectric Legends were excited to participate in the FTC Kentucky State Championship down in Murray, Kentucky. The Legends walked away with the Connect Award, which was given to the team that best connected to their local STEM and non-STEM communities.

The Legends created a Scam Awareness video designed specifically for senior citizens to help them recognize and avoid scam emails and phone calls. Because many healthcare facilities were still on COVID restrictions and shutdowns, this video along with bookmarks, a team photo, and a letter with an explanation of our program was made into packets and given to multiple nursing homes, senior facilities, and homemakers clubs in Clark County, Kentucky. The seniors we met were excited to discuss with us how to stop scam emails and phone calls because it is something they encounter every day.
